MINNEAPOLIS—Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP), a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, announced on March 10 the promotion of two key leaders, effective March 1. Brad Hendrickson has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO), and David Grandstaff has been promoted to Midwest and Southwest Regional President.

As COO of AP, Hendrickson provides visionary leadership and strategic direction to drive operational excellence and sustained growth. He will oversee all aspects of business performance, ensuring alignment with AP’s long-term goals, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration. In addition, Brad will be accountable for operational efficiencies, strengthen profitability, and advance safety and quality initiatives. With more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Hendrickson has built a distinguished career—beginning as a field engineer and quickly advancing to project manager, chief estimator, construction manager, area manager, and regional president.

“I’m honored to step into the role of COO at AP and play a key part in the company’s ongoing growth,” said Hendrickson. “I will lead with a focus on optimizing our overall operational performance, a key driver of AP’s continued success and our promise to deliver exceptional client service.”

In his new role as Regional President of AP Midwest and Southwest, Grandstaff provides strategic leadership and operational oversight, driving regional growth, financial performance, and team development. He works closely with clients, project teams, and industry partners to align business strategies with client objectives, ensuring operational excellence and long-term success in the region. His expertise in developing win strategies for AP and its clients has strengthened AP’s presence and impact in the region. Grandstaff brings over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and strategic planning.

“I’m excited to build strong relationships with our clients and partners, foster a culture of collaboration within our teams, and drive strategic growth across the region in the role of Regional President for AP Midwest and Southwest,” said Grandstaff. “Together, we will continue to deliver exceptional projects and strengthen AP’s presence in these key markets.”

“These leadership transitions support our long-range strategic plan and ensure we scale effectively while continuing to deliver high-quality results for our clients,” said Jeff Hansen, CEO, AP. “With Brad’s operational expertise and David’s strategic leadership, we are well-positioned for continued success as we continue to grow the Company in the years ahead.”
