Axis Communications has introduced a slate of new security technologies, unveiling four flagship additions designed to strengthen multisensory intelligence across modern surveillance ecosystems.
Presented in New Orleans at GSX 2025 the lineup included the AXIS Q6411-LE Bispectral PTZ Camera, new AI-powered bullet cameras, the AXIS D6310 Air Quality Sensor, and the AXIS D2122/23-VE Radars—each engineered to enhance real-time situational awareness through advanced edge analytics and integrated data streams.
The company’s updated portfolio reflected a continued shift toward security systems that merged thermal, visual, radar, audio, and environmental sensing. These devices were built on the ARTPEC-9 system-on-chip, enabling high-performance analytics at the edge while supporting scalable deployments across IT, OT, and physical security environments. As Fredrik Nilsson, VP, Americas, stated, “Pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in security technology is core to our DNA—but we always do so with our customers in mind.”
At the center of the announcement, the AXIS Q6411-LE Bispectral PTZ Camera offered a two-in-one solution combining a QVGA thermal camera with a highly light-sensitive 2 MP visual PTZ unit. Equipped with a 31x optical zoom, Lightfinder 2.0, Forensic WDR, OptimizedIR, and AV1 compression, the camera delivered 24/7 detection and verification in all conditions. Its deep learning processing unit supported advanced on-device analytics, including AXIS Object Analytics and compatibility with AXIS Perimeter Defender. Device protection was reinforced through Axis Edge Vault with FIPS 140-3 Level 3 secure key storage.
Axis also expanded its portfolio with four new AI-powered bullet cameras—the AXIS P1475/85-LE and P1487/88-LE series. Ranging from 2 MP to 8 MP, the lineup delivered enhanced forensic image quality, improved low-light performance, and long-range OptimizedIR. Like the PTZ model, the cameras featured ARTPEC-9 processing, AV1 codec support, preinstalled AXIS Object Analytics, and hardened cybersecurity. Their IK10, IP66/67, and NEMA 4X ratings enabled reliable operation in extreme outdoor conditions.
Beyond video, Axis extended into environmental intelligence with the AXIS D6310 Air Quality Sensor, a standalone device designed to detect air pollutants, vaping, and smoking. It offered two-way audio, PoE passthrough, AI-based audio analytics, presence detection, and visual alerts. Data could be accessed in real time through a virtual stream without added licenses, supporting regulatory compliance and long-term environmental monitoring.
Rounding out the announcement, the AXIS D2122/23-VE Radars provided wide-area coverage with 180° or 270° detection fields. The devices classified humans across up to 30,000 m² and enabled radar-video fusion when paired with ARTPEC-9 PTZ cameras. This multilayered approach minimized false alarms and streamlined deployment through edge-to-edge pairing and single-address configuration.
All four solutions were demonstrated at GSX 2025, underscoring Axis’ continued push toward intelligent, integrated, multisensor security technologies.
