Following recent reports raising questions about how public AI systems may store and handle user data, Modular Technology Group has announced the availability of Private AI Workspaces, a closed, locally controlled environment for organizations that work with sensitive information.

Law firms, government workers, medical professionals, and financial professionals have been among the groups most affected by renewed concern about whether public AI platforms could inadvertently expose documents or retain material that was never meant to leave a secure setting. For many of these organizations, confidentiality is mandated by law or professional ethics, leaving few options as AI becomes more embedded in day-to-day work.

Private AI Workspaces were developed in response to those concerns. Instead of sending information to external servers, organizations can run AI tools inside an isolated environment they manage themselves. The intent is to give professionals a way to explore AI’s usefulness in drafting, analysis, and administrative tasks without increasing the risk to client or citizen data.

“We’ve heard from a number of organizations who are trying to understand where AI fits into their responsibilities, especially after recent news about data exposure,” said Cale Hollingsworth, CTO of Modular Technology Group. “Their priority is protecting the people they serve. We created this option for teams who want to evaluate AI in a more controlled setting.”

Modular Technology Group says the offering was shaped by feedback from small and mid-sized organizations that felt caught between pressure to modernize and uncertainty around public AI systems. The company emphasizes that the goal is not to replace human judgment or established processes, but to allow cautious industries to examine AI’s role without compromising privacy obligations.

Modular Technology Group delivers private AI solutions, secure hosting, modern web development, and managed infrastructure services for government, legal, and enterprise clients nationwide.
